Seasons Greetings and an Update

As we have approached this holiday season we are full of excitement to have our wonderful, blessed life we live. Our son is our greatest joy and blessing. We have gifts wrapped and are getting the tree ready for Santa to decorate on Christmas Eve. I can't wait to see the wonder I hope will fill his eyes when he sees the lights on Christmas tree.
Since my last update he has grown so much. He clocks in around 20 lbs and 30 inches; he's a lean tall boy. We are cloth diapering and he loves his pretty diapers. He's a heavy wetter so we use disposables at night but that's okay. His physical therapy is going pretty well however there are still some concerns. He was saying dada and making other intelligent sounds but he may be digressing into just squeals, yells, and grunts which could be bad. We are working on getting him to crawl but are struggling; he works hard with Ms. Shelley. He seems to prefer an extension posture which includes locking all him limbs so we need to get him out of that habit so he has a better chance of becoming mobile.
We saw Dr. Oetgen for a relapse scare earlier this month and he told us everything is fine and gave a new prescription for shoes since Jackson seems to have "big" feet. We also had an appointment with Dr. Kaloo. The good news is he is ready for surgery; the bad news is that its going to be more intensive and longer than we hoped. They will be circumcising him and using some of that skin to create a tube from where his urethra hole is to where it is supposed to be located. They will then pull his glands closer together to hold the tube in. They will the place a patch of skin over the area to keep it in place. His penis will be swollen, bruised, and will likely have a lot of fluid coming from it. He will have to be as inactive as possible and cannot have anything between his legs. That means extremely limited carseat time, gentle high chair use, and no bouncey seat or hip holding. This will be a huge challenge for our active little boy and a setback in his therapy. His surgery is scheduled for February 1st but we do not know what time.
